Немного о совместимости Lindows и "железа". Заходим на сайт компании и в разделе совместимости набираем первое известное имя в разделе материнских плат, ну хотя бы "ASUS":

Прямо скажем, не самые новые доски, одначе и тут результат ужасающий! И так почти по всем актуальным изделиям почти всех производителей. Интересно, что можно построить под такую предустановленную OS, хотя бы и на винтах Seagate.

Когда-то купил Seagate 5400 в резине на 8Гб - там стояла вин 98SE - так и простояла, пока винт не умер...
btw, сегодня ставил старую фрю на ATI A4 чипсет. Ничего, работает.

Ерунда какая-то... А если компьютеры _без_ OS продаются ? А они продаются. А уж покупатель там дальше себе сам купит/поставит/другое.

С месяц назад была препаршивейшая партия сороковок 7200.7 - скончалось в первый месяц процентов 20 с 60/80/120 такого не наблюдалось.

Бля. На говенный винт еще более говенную ОС ставят IMHO Сигаты протуливают только мелкие фирмешки всяким лохам, которым акромя Вынь ХР и не надо ничего

У меня было, что у 40-гиговых seagate'ов головки слетали систематически

Согласен, нехорошая партия винтов видимо была, откуда она такая - хрен его знает, может контейнер в порту с крана навернулся:) Но выявились они практически сразу, и были заменены по гарантии.

Кстати винты теперь требуют нормальных блоков питания.
