Исправление slackwarrior, (текущая версия) :

Уже всё есть. Нужно только железо самую малость подтянуть. «Но очки запотели» (с)

Вопрос всегда. Где и кто это ест? :) Алсо срачи под их демками/пруфами канцепта наводят на мысли, скока тут хайпа, а скока «саму малость»:

There are some projects that utilize pathtracing as 
a game renderengine, e.g. Dade's game "Sfera" that 
is based on SLG. However, they must use a stripped 
down version of a pathtracer (Sfera has only sphere 
primitives, for example)." (с)
