Нет. Ограничение чипсета для очень старых моделей. С 2008 года поддерживается 4ГБ.

On early MBP models there was a limit resulting from the chipset limitations and putting two 2GB modules would give you only 3GB visible for the system. Only newer MBPs (2008 and later) can use the whole 4GB.
