SATA hotswap

Подореваю что для SATA - аналогично. Однако никаких гарантий.

было sata и ich7 хотплаг - не работает.
мне вот только интересно почему.
сама технология sata - поддерживает сата.
Железом хотплаг поддерживается.
Получается что проблема в линуксовых дровах???
если используется legacy mode и sata диски видны как ide
то как я понимаю в будущем поддержки хотплага тоже не будет. 
А вот если в родном режиме и используется  ahci то вроде как ожидается добавление в libata поддержку хотплаг. Так ???
