nslookup отрабатывает нормально прямой и обратный. Ну и даже если где-то что-то не так, в iptables пишется ip, в mynetworks тоже. Так что из-за dns отшибать не должен.

Тут откидывает не на уровне постфикса, а на уровне сети. И теленетом с host1 на host2 не должен заходить.

как написали выше, попробуйте, находясь на host1 почтовом сервере, сделать telnet host2 25.

Все, нашел. Какое-то время назад пробрасывал человека из того офиса на свой терминал и не указал порт. Так что все это время почтовик долбился в терминал :) Спасибо всем за участие!
