Chromium has a switch autoplay-policy=user-gesture-required to disable autoplay. You can add it to the qt.arg settings or pass it via –qt-flag. In Qt 5.11 in May there’ll also be a setting to control it at runtime, so that should be exposed as qutebrowser setting.
