gdb уходит в background

пишу простенькую програмку
#include <stdio.h>

int main()
{
printf("Hello \n");

return 0;
}

собираю >gcc -g mur.c -o mur
запускаю в gdb

>gdb -v

бац! и она ушла в бекграунд!
Какого хрена???

и только так можно вернуть, через fg.
в чём дело никто не знает???
