Установка SIM

читаешь умеешь? "error: in the prefix, you've chosen, are no KDE headers installed. This will fail. So, check this please and use another prefix!"

hint: в сусе кеды установлены в /opt/kde

может нехватает какого-нибудь кдеешного *-devel пакета. 
(есть ли они в сузи вообще - без понятия) 

а может надо определить переменную KDEDIR. 
export KDEDIR=путь ДО /bin/kdeinit 
                                   ^^^^^^^^^^

ну да. в /opt/kde а делать-то что? как мне SIM поставить?

А если configure --prefix=/opt/kde ?

несработало. перепробовал все варианты. configure --prefix=/opt/kde configure --prefix=/opt/kde3 configure --prefix=/opt/kde/ configure --prefix=/opt/kde3/

слей бинарник и не парься

whereis kde-config
что выдает ?

стоит сделать ./configure --help и внимательно почитать. (SIM не ставил, но думаю ответы на свои вопросы ты там найдёшь)
А ещё следует почитать файлы README и INSTALL, если они отличаются от стандартных!

попробуй так:
export KDEDIR=/opt/kde3
./configure --prefix=/opt/kde3
