libmpeg? Какой-то у вас интересный vlc, попробуйте mplayer.

gmplayer вылетает при любом значении vo в настройках.

логи mplayer -identify dvd:// , а также mplayer -identify dvdnav:// в студию. VO здесь не причем.

В первом и четвертом случаях не находит видеокодек, во втором и третьем выводится повторяющаяся строка:

Попробуй без vc:

А другие лицензионки нормально играются?

Дело, видимо, в защите от копирования, да.
