Как узнать регион DVD-диска?

Принесли тут DVD-диск, который не проигрывается на аппаратном плейере. В Linux проигрывается нормально. Нужно понять в чем причина.

Есть предположение, что у диска выставлен не наш регион (не 5).

Вопрос. Как посмотреть регион DVD-диска?


PS:

Программа regionset показывает настройку привода DVD а не то, что записано на DVD-диске.

Программа lsdvd информацию о регионе не показывает.

Программа k3b в информации о диске тоже не показывает регион.

Ну, и где здесь маска? Прочел каждую строчку - не нашел. При этой коменде DVD проигрывается нормально:

In common region-locked DVDs (not in RCE-DVDs), the region code is stored in the file «VIDEO_TS.IFO» (table «VMGM_MAT»), byte offsets 34 and 35.[12] The eight regions each correspond to a value which is a power of 2: Region 1 corresponds to 1 (20), Region 2 to 2 (21), Region 3 to 4 (22), and so on through Region 8, which corresponds to 128 (27). The values of each region that the disc is not encoded for are added together to give the value in the file. For example, a disc that is encoded for Region 1 but not Regions 2–8 will have the value 2+4+8+16+32+64+128=254. A disc encoded for Regions 1, 2 and 4 will have the value 4+16+32+64+128=244. A region-free or RCE-protected DVD will carry the value zero, since no regions are excluded.

У Вас там вообще по-моему не совсем DVD. Просто в mpeg2 видео. Не mpeg-ts или mpeg-ps. И какие-то вон ошибки валятся. Тем более обычно плеер (железяка) говорит, почему не играет, мол регион не тот...

Это выхлоп при проигрывании обычного DVD, который и на аппаратном плеере играет. Мне же сначала нужно узнать регион на «нормальном» диске.

Надо именно mplayer -v dvd:// , а не mplayer -v /dev/sr0

Я бы с радостью. Но dvd:// был удачно разломан при переходе с Lenny на Squeeze:

Ядро увидело привод CD/DVD-Rom , и даже работает автомонтирование в KDE4. Значит ли это, что все проблемы решены? Нет.

При попытке посмотреть видеозапись на DVD-диске с помощью проигрывателя xine, мы увидим, что проигрывание DVD-дисков перестало работать.

Дело в том, что в Squeeze, по непонятным причинам, DVD-Rom перестал монтироваться как /dev/dvd.

Но я сделал линк «ln -s /dev/sr0 /dev/dvd» в надежде, что это и будет dvd:// . После этого команда «mplayer -v dvd://» сработала, и стала показывать видео.

Вот ее выхлоп (на другом «нормальном» DVD, кривой уже отдал).

Что-то я тут тоже не наблюдаю информацию о регионе:

Упс, это я напутал. Не cvd:// , а dvdnav:// , и только при установленном libdvdcss. Вот пример вывода от DVD с неправильным регионом:
