The Bioinformatics Organization, Inc. (Bioinformatics.Org) is seeking an experienced programmer to contribute to the continuing development of an open-source, PHP-based analytical platform for bioinformatics.
Bioinformatics.Org is a US-based non-profit organization, but the intern may work from Israel, via the Internet. The intern will be paid USD $25 per hour to a maximum of $6,000 (total number of hours is contingent upon funding and the number of interns). This is a summertime project, and the intern must begin almost immediately. The current phase of the project ends in mid-August.
The candidate should be at least a junior in college and have considerable experience with Apache, MySQL and PHP development. No background in biology is required.
