А дело не происходит случайно в каком-нибудь ноуте с ещё одним набортным Bluetooth-интерфейсом?

Это фирмварь для pci-устройства, для wlan. А bluetooth это usb-устройство, у него своя фирмварь. Например, у меня вот так:
