Подключение принтера HP Photosmart C4583.

Не молучается настроить. Делаю все по технологии: http://hplipopensource.com/hplip-web/install/manual/distros/gentoo.html
Все конфигурируется и устанавливается. Ошибок нет. Запускаю hp-setup -i. Пишет следующее:

Пробовал так же через http://localhost:631/ - не принимает рутовского пароля.

Куда копать? Что я не так делаю? Дистрибутив gentoo. Уже запарился я с этим принтером.

поправил фаилы cups.conf и client.conf - вместо localhost поставил 127.0.0.1:631
В web интерфеис рута уже пустили. Однако в hp-setup по прежнему та же ошибка. Вот хвост:

Как лечить? По поводу ipv6 сомневаюць, т.к. у hplip даже поддержки этого протокола нет.

Я правда не из репозитория ставил, но тут это роли не играет.

Пишет что нет какого-то фуматика. Без понятия что это такое, ну раз драйвер ставил, то где-то ж ведь он (этот фуматик) должен быть?

Фуматик нашелся. Поместил его в /usr/libexec/cups/filter/.

Проблема решена. Теперь осталось сканер настроить :)
