винт погремущка

есть винт Seagate 160 GB, довольно редко с ним происходят странные веши - он начинает греметь как погремушка (лечится перезагрузкой), ось при этом намертво зависают, попытки выйти в термиал дают следующие сообщения:

ata1: COMPRESET failed (errno=-16)

и очень много
