Установлен параметр

sudo hdparm -S 1 /dev/sda
1. Как, кроме как на слух, проверить, крутятся блины или нет?
2. Отображение температуры диска на панели Gnome (Computer Temperature Monitor 0.9.6.1) не будет ли постоянно «будить» диск?
3. Как проверить, какой тайм-аут для перехода в спящий режим установлен?

/dev/sdc:
 drive state is:  active/idle

hddtemp запрашивает состояние диска, и если он неактивен, то температура не считывается.

спасибо. Ну насчет самого апплета не подскажите, как сделать так, чтобы при выключенном диске апплет отключался или сменялся текст/картинка, а то «зависшая» температура не особо интересна.
