HOW DOES DOJO WORK?
Dojo is a device and service aware security system for smart connected home. The main components of the solution protecting the home network are:
Dojo: (Device) A local intelligent unit which takes care of threat detection and prevention along sided with network management and control. Dojo is constantly analyzing all the network traffic within the home network and enforces the security policy of that specific network. Dojo is capable of detecting large set of cyber threats and prevent them. Dojo constantly studies the network and the connected device behavior. This analysis is done both on the device and Dojo-Labs cloud.
Dojo Cloud: (Dojo Intelligence) Dojo-Labs is running a cloud based cyber security engine that constantly collects and analyzes the metadata that has been generated by all the deployed Dojos. (All Dojo-Labs devices). The cyber engine is capable of detecting cyber threats and abnormal behavior by using machine learning and proprietary algorithms. The system as a whole is designed to protect security and privacy risks that are unique to smart home devices. Therefore, it is capable of detecting, alerting and mitigating those threats in a way that existing solutions for the consumer market fails to.
Dojo-App: Dojo-Labs mobile application is the main interface for using the service. It provides simple and intuitive UI/UX that help our customer take control over their home network security and privacy without preliminary technical knowledge in the domain. The app is available for iOS and Android.
WHAT IS PROTECTED THROUGH THIS DEVICE?
Any device that is connected to the home network is protected.
IoT: IP Cameras, Baby Monitors, smart locks, smart alarms, energy management systems, TVs, Streamers, Printer and many more.
Smart Devices: Smartphone, Tablets, Laptops, PC’s, etc.
IoT Gateways: any Gateway that is connected to the home network (wired and wireless)
HOW IM GOING TO BE NOTIFIED IF MY HOME DEVICES ARE BEING HACKED?
You will be notified via two independent and synchronized elements:
Pebble - the pebble lightning is changed using three colors: Green, Orange, Red
Mobile Application - The mobile app sends real-time notification with a detailed information regarding the security or privacy related event.
HOW QUICKLY CAN THE PROBLEM BE SOLVED?
Most of the security and privacy risks are automatically mitigated without a user involvement. In case of red alerts (when user involvement is required) the user is alerted via the app with simple drop down menu. Once the user makes a selection the system is immediately updated.
DOES DOJO STORE PERSONAL DATA?
Dojo-Labs value proposition is all about our customer’s security and privacy. The company does not collect any user data. The only data it collects is a metadata related to the devices behavior and security/privacy related logs. This data is used to improve the device intelligence and leveraging to power of a crowd sourced security engine.
WHERE IS THE METADATA GOING?
The metadata is stored in Dojo-Labs cloud platform which is highly secured by itself. It does not contain any user data and therefore cannot be used for a non-legitimate activity.
CAN I CHOOSE WHICH DEVICES ARE CONNECTED?
You can choose which devices will get access to their home network, to the internet or to other connected devices. You can also block or allow internet access from any device.
