Как известно, легкие наркотики разрешены не только в Голландии, но фактически во всей Европе. По этому я хочу спросить, нет ли у кого-то телевизора Samsung любой версии с разбитым экраном? У меня есть UE40D5520RW со сломанной флеш-памятью (это известная их проблема), но матплат от него нет, потому что они у всех сломались. По разъемам подходят другие матплаты, так как мне нужно от него только быть монитором, я бы попробовал починить колхозно. Принял бы в дар!

Home office for today
Сегодня надо остаться с детьми дома, благо политика компании разрешает работать удаленно. Внешний монитор Philips 234E неплох за свои деньги, только вот к рабочему ноуту его можное цеплять (пока) только через DSUB. Клавиатурой пользуюсь ноутбучной, мышка та, которую дают IT. Ноут - Thinkpad W541 со всем топовым, кроме дисплея: HiDPI есть, но TN. Стол из Икеи, наушники служат гарнитурой (микрофон встроен в ноут) RaPi 3 на заднем плане оказался НЕ ГОТОВ и теперь просто валяется.

Primary Job Responsibilities
- Investigate and troubleshoot customer reported issues using available tools and enhance or write custom tools when needed
- Analyse upstream development in relation to customer reported defects and develop patches
- Provide test builds to verify fixes or bisect regressions
- Work closely with Red Hat's Technical Support Engineers, Technical Account Managers,
and Development engineers
Required Skills
- 3+ years of experience as a support, sustaining, or development engineer or other directly related experience in an enterprise environment
- Knowledge of Operating system architecture and concepts such as symmetric multiprocessing (synchronization, locking mechanisms), virtual memory management (paging, swapping, page cache, virtual address space layout), process scheduling and multi-threading, exception and interrupt handling, mechanisms of inter-process communication, timers, signal handling, system calls, etc albeit preferably with Linux or alternatively with a variant of a UNIX operating system
- Familiarity with the C programming language (i.e. reading and preferably coding as well), assembly language (reading, preferably with one of the processor architectures that Red Hat supports), function calling conventions (passing parameters in registers, function-local data in stack frames), understanding how assembly instructions are related to corresponding C code
- Experience of Kernel crash dump analysis; preferably with Linux or alternatively with a variant of a UNIX operating system Use of Kernel debugging and tracing tools such as the crash utility, systemtap, trace-cmd and perf 'Git' (or a similar version control system) to browse/examine source code change history in order to identify upstream fixes that may address an issue reported by a customer; experience with using 'git' to create a patch in standardised 'git-format-patch' output and upstream kernel contributions are a big plus
- Upstream involvement in an open source project i.e. submitting patches for upstream inclusion is a plus
- ARM64 and/or PPC Power8 architecture knowledge will be considered a huge plus

- Strong experience in one or more of the following technology areas as a software engineer, developer or in depth troubleshooting analyst:
- Common local and network Linux file systems (ext2/3/4, XFS, nfs, cifs, etc.)
- Storage area networks, storage virtualisation and fiber channel attached storage (inc. iSCSI/FCoE) is a plus
- Redundant storage systems (RAID, multipath I/O, distributed storage) is a plus
- Troubleshooting and debugging in distributed and multithreaded environments
- Development experience with C and familiarity with established open source methodologies
- Understanding of hardware architecture (x86/x86_64 is required, others are beneficial)
- Experience writing scripts using BASH and Python to troubleshoot and correct Linux issues. Knowledge of other scripting languages is a plus.

C Новым 2017 Годом!
Уважаемые пользователи и анонимусы! Поздравляем вас с новым 2017 годом. В ушедшем году было много интересного:
- Linux'у исполнилось 25 лет, а Линусу — 47. Четверть века — достаточный срок; у детей, которые появились, когда Линукс уже был, уже есть дети.
- Контейнеризация на Linux'е стала мейнстримом, главные игроки здесь Canonical и Red Hat.
- Microsoft значительно поменял риторику и выпустил серверные приложения SQL Server 2016 и Power Shell, причем последний даже открыт.
- Fedora 25 теперь поставляется с Wayland по умолчанию. Конечно, не все работает гладко, но эпоха X11 уходит, нравится это нам или нет.
- KDE исполнилось 20 лет.
- 2016 запомнился большим количеством уязвимостей как в ядре, так и в прикладном ПО. Уязвимостям теперь дают имена.
- 2016 год на 1 секунду длиннее, чем обычно.
Что будет в 2017? Больше контейнеров, больше полезного и не очень искусственного интеллекта, больше роботов, криптовалюты, дополненная и виртуальная реальность — везде мы найдем применение Linux'у!

Состоялся выпуск Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.3, в котором значительное внимание уделено повышению стабильности и безопасности, увеличению скорости работы, а также включены новые возможности в поддержке контейнеров и Интернета вещей (IoT). Релиз выходит в рамках десятилетнего цикла поддержки. Вместе с RHEL 7.3 выходят специализированные сборки:
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux Atomic Host 7.3, хост-платформа для контейнеров.
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux for SAP Applications для продуктов SAP; теперь поддерживаются IBM z Systems и IBM Power (big endian).

Есть некоторые сайты, на которых шрифт с засечками выглядит вот так:

пробовал менять шрифты в настройках, в системе, устанавливать Микрософтовские, ставить расширения для собственного CSS. Все равно оно выглядит вот так. ЧЯДНТ?!!

Помогите вспомнить устройство
Году в 2000м или 1999 видел на выставках в отделах CAD и 3D-моделирования такую штуку, не знаю как называется. Размером с мышку, с несколькими клавишами, работает как track point, только большой, подо всю ладонь. Кажется он еще был чувствителен к «надавить» и «потянуть». Как оно называлось?

Никогда не видел LXC, а тут надо! Есть mysql, он работает, у него в конфиге прописан сокет, у него в командной строке сокет. Делаем chroot в его контейнер
