Поставьте шестерку и не мучайтесь

Если хочется помучиться, собираете из src.rpm весь Gnome и beryl.

у меня нет FC6 к сожалению, т.е. Gnome нужно обновлять обязательно? и что такое Beryl?

FC6 - не обязательно, но желательно. Gnome - не нужен.

у меня FC6, для 3д десктопа пришлось настроить AIXGL (включён по умолчанию), подключить extras репозитарии к yum'у и сказать

sudo yum install beryl-kde

дальше оно установилось само. но, ИМХО, этот 3д десктоп - фигня полная, не нужен он ни для чего. вырубил его нахрен.

ЗЫ современные пакетные дистрибутивы развращают...

ЗЫ сколько раз ни ставил кстати beryl из пакетов, всегда криво вставал. А вот из сорсов все ок (FC6).
