WMvare Player - Чёрный экран и ноль реакции

Приветствую!
Проявилась у меня такая проблема - Player перестал толком работать.
При запуске любой виртульной машины всё происходит как обычно - открывается новое окно, меню сверху доступно и работает, однако содержимое окна пустует.
Пробовал пересобирать модули, обновлять сам Player, отключать красивости КДЕ (alt+shift+F12) - толку нет.
Напрямую с обновлениями вроде бы сбой не связан.


Конфигурация:
Ядро 3.4.4-2, x86_64, патчи для VMWare Tools установлены под чутким руководством ArchWiki;
KDE 4.8, испытаны VMWare Player 4.0.3 и 4.0.4


Есть какие-нибудь идеи?

Если vmw сам логи не ведёт, попробуй поиграть с настройками вм. Граф. ускорение отключить и т.д. Посмотри на загрузку процессора при черном экране - вм что-нибудь делает?

ЗЫ: я больше virtualbox'ом пользовался. Кстати попробуй его поставить - он диски vm понимает.

Судя по загрузке процессора, что-то там да происходит. Настройки переключал, от монитора до режима виртуализации - толку нет.

Похоже и вправду пора переходить на vbox, эти пляски после каждого апдейта изрядно надоели - всё работает, кроме этого player'а)

Завтра попробую через vbox что-нибудь из удалёнок поднять и после запустить, так что не всё потеряно =)
