Не работает ускорение 3D. В настройке дисплея не даёт включить аппаратное ускорение. При установке ставил пакеты Glide* и XFree*GL*. OpenGL есть, на сколько я понял, //glxinfo говорил, что есть. При запуске 3D прог либо тормоза, либо (Quake3): Sys_Error: GLimp_Init() - could not load OpenGL subsystem Не могли же софтовую месу в RH9 запихать? Ставил Mesa6. Компиляция без ошибок, установил - то же самое. Ставил Glide-2.6 rpm,tar - не помогло. Видимо я что-то деляю не так. Или не делаю что-то.

Есть ли в сети нормальная (что, откуда и как поставить) инструкция по установке OpenGL на RehHat9? Я найти не смог. В лучшем случае RH5-6 или Слакварь. Или кто-то может рассказать как ето сделать? Help! Я запарился...

Все там прекрасно работает, надо просто в конфиге Х-ов включить
поддержку DRI и все, вот только после твоих экспериментов возможно,
что уже ничего не заработает, Glide в RH9 есть свой, с поддержкой
версии 2 и 3, зачем надо было ставить другой, не совсем понятно, так же
как и Mesa, которая в RH9 с DRI, а не ту, что ты ставил софтверную,
дело не в версии Mesa, а в ее возможности и как она привязана к
железу...

А чего тут не понятного? Что бы работал DRI, нужен кернельный drm
драйвер под V3, при этом в логе при старте Х-ов должно писаться, что
drm модуль загружен, а в Х-ых логах, что DRI активен...
