А зачем? Звёздочек нет именно из-за секурности, чтобы не узнать длину пароля.

Я тебе и так скажу - 8 знаков (буквы, цифры, знаки), 195.62.150.188, порт ssh открыт, юзеры guest, mikhail, root с одинаковым паролем. Я в KLAX увидел, что при логине появляются звёздочки, мне это очень понравилось.

Поройся в исходниках.
