Intel has contributed modifications to Xen to support their VT-x (formerly Vanderpool) architecture extensions.[6] Similarly AMD has contributed support for their AMD-V extensions. These technologies, while differing quite substantially in their implementation and instruction sets, are managed by a common abstraction layer in Xen and enable unmodified guest operating systems to run within Xen virtual machines, starting with Xen 3.0.

Только смущает вот эта цитата про процы интел - Intel® Virtualization Technology requires a computer system with an enabled Intel® processor, BIOS, virtual machine monitor (VMM) and for some uses, certain platform software enabled for it. Functionality, performance or other benefits will vary depending on hardware and software configurations. Intel Virtualization Technology-enabled BIOS and VMM applications are currently in development.

Что это за virtual machine monitor? И как вот это понимать - Intel Virtualization Technology-enabled BIOS and VMM applications are currently in development?

Работает оно уже _сейчас_ с Xen или нет?
