While systemd is being used by Fedora as the init manager and by other Linux distributions, it's not working out so well for openSUSE. For now, systemd is being removed from openSUSE Tumbleweed.
Greg Kroah-Hartman has decided to remove systemd from Tumbleweed as it's been causing too many issues for users. There's a number of inter-dependencies that arent ready right now. However, openSUSE developers will continue on prepping systemd for the Factory repository and hope to have it ready for 12.1.
