The update to LSB 3.1 introduces new automated testing toolkits for distributions and application vendors, linking development more closely to certification. The result will be reduced development costs and tighter integration between upstream developers, distributions, applications and the LSB standard. This continued enhancement of standards, testing and tools for the Linux platform will make it easier and less costly for application developers to support the Linux operating system.

обновилась система тестов. LSB 3.1 уже давно больше года как есть все ждут LSB 3.2, в которой много вкусностей.

какой-то бред полный написан. В спеку добавили тестинг тулс? Гыде?

Ну да, для RedHat-based дистрибутива достаточно посмотреть "rpm -q redhat-lsb" и понять, что LSB 3.1 был ещё в FC6. То что обновили тесты для проверки на соответствие 3.1 - мало кому интересно.

Интересно, есть ли продукты, базирующиеся только на LSB подмножестве? Кто-нибудь ввобще его использует как стандарт? И когда там новый пакетный API обещают?
