Короче, при обновлении до Федора 8 найден официальный баг в Анаконда. Его решение - указать при обновлении на http://katzj.fedoraproject.org/updates-f8-yumloop.img После чего требуется настройка сетевой и черт его знает, что еще. Вопрос, подскажите как собрать загрузочный DVD исправив этот баг.
Well, it worked for me and I finally managed to upgrade to F8 =)
I had one failed attempt before succeeding, but that was because I misspelled "updates" (I wrote "upgrade"), and anaconda simply ignored it, no complaints. I went through another 1+ hours until I realized (by looking at /tmp/anaconda.log) that the updated image hasn't been used.
Then I tried again, and this time I typed
linux updates=http://katzj.fedoraproject.org/updates-f8-yumloop.img ip=dhcp
at the "boot:" prompt, and that did the trick =) (anaconda will even tell you it's obtaining the IP address and downloading the .img file)
