The maker of China’s state-backed domestic desktop operating system has terminated all of its employees’ contracts, liquidated its assets, and shut its doors, according to Techweb.

Red Flag Linux, as its called, should not be confused with China’s domestic mobile operating system, often referred to as COS (China operating system).

Red Flag started experiencing problems paying its employees back in April 2013. The situation deteriorated until the company couldn’t even pay for its building’s water and electricity. Many employee’s have still not received their wages – a total of RMB 15 million ($2.5 million). They are now targeting Red Flag’s largest shareholder, the Institute of Software – Chinese Academy of Sciences. Allegations are flying over Red Flag’s mismanagement and possible corruption.

Red Flag Linux was meant to compete and possibly replace Windows in China’s domestic market. The Windows lookalike launched in 2000 but never really caught on outside of a few government bureaus. More than half the active PCs in the country still run on Windows XP. Microsoft has announced it will officially end support for the 12-year-old operating system this April. That means, aside from compromising household PCs, many government computers and public ATMs will be left at the mercy of future hackers.

The Chinese government has already stated its discontent with Windows 8, which comes preinstalled on almost all new PCs. It says an upgrade to Windows 8 would cause a substantial increase in costs both for the OS and relevant software. Windows 8 accounts for less than three percent of the Chinese market.

I work for an aerospace contractor, and about 6 months ago I was bored so I added Princess Luna to the silkscreen layer of a printed circuit board. Anyway, the device is going up on Orbital Sciences Orb-1 at 12:06 CST.

Mhm. Basicallly, a circuit board that measures temperature, varies the speed of chassis fans accordingly to minimize noise, and monitors the rotation pulses from the fans. If the fans fail or there's an overtemp, it throws an alarm and can shut down the device's large power supply in extreme conditions. It also reports this info over a link to the device's computer so the information can be accessed on the ground. It has its own power supply circuitry for interface directly to the station's systems so that if the device's power supply fails it will still keep the fans running and it can also shut off the device on overtemp without killing its own power source.

ATMega328P-AU, the TQFP32 version of the one used in the Arduino Uno. In fact, it runs the Arduino bootloader.

After Snapchat hack, this can be another worst data breach of the new year. A Pakistani hacker 'H4x0r HuSsY' has successfully compromised the official Forum of 'openSUSE', a Linux distro developed, sponsored & supported by SUSE.

The hacker managed to deface the Forum and uploaded its custom message page as shown and account information of 79,500 registered users' may have been compromised. (The forum was defaced at the time of writing - Check Here)

The popular website MacRumors's Forum was compromised in last November using an alleged zero day exploit, which is based on vBulletin, a famous forum software. The openSUSE Forum is also based upon vBulletin.

Another interesting fact is that openSUSE is still using vBulletin 4.2.1, which is vulnerable to inject rogue administrator accounts flaw. Whereas, the latest patched vBulletin 5.0.5 is available. Possibly, Hacker exploits same or another known vBulletin version 4.2.1 vulnerability to access the website's administrative panel.

Update (7:00 PM Tuesday, January 7, 2014 GMT): The Pakistani Hacker confirmed is that has uploaded a PHP shell on the forum server using his own Private vBulletin's zero-day exploit, that allows him to browse, read or write/overwrite any file on the Forum server without root privileges.

Пытаюсь его как-то использовать. Собственно, вопросы:

1) В окне настроек с Input Method есть такой совет для выбора дефолтного варианта: «The default input method is the top one in the list. You may use up/down buttons to change it.». Вот только кнопочек вверх-вниз там нет. Клавиатура тоже не действует. Что это означает?

2) При добавлении более 2 методов ввода переключалка Next input method скролит только между двумя из них. Как быть?

Сейчас есть 2 варианта - либо руками выставить количество монтирований для диска, либо прописать в параметры груба «fsck.mode=force».

Когда-то в Майкрософт создали игру Project Hoshimi. Суть игры - на карту высаживается несколько главных ботов игроков, начинают строить маленьких ботов, потом отправляют их воевать и собирать ресурсы (вроде бы даже ещё какие-то здания можно было строить). Такая вот rts, но всё это они делали по написанному для них алгоритму без вмешательства игрока. Было 3 уровня написания алгоритма: рисование стрелочек, псевдокод и код на дотнете. Вот так это всё выглядело:

Да, находил игры типа robocode, но хочу не просто бои юнитов, а ещё какое-нибудь строительство.

Сейчас я вижу 2 варианта:

1. Включить «automatically play audio» - тогда он начинает безостановочно повторять звук. Кнопка R ничего не меняет.

2. Отключить «automatically play audio» - тогда звука нет. Я нажимаю R - начинает повторять звук.

Как можно сделать, чтобы он только один раз проигрывал звук вопроса/ответа?
